I’ve learned that true passion is supported by relentless patience and a thirst for knowledge. It involves spending time reading, watching videos, studying, and seeking advice. It’s amazing how many actions can be taken to pursue something you love and how boldly you can go after it.
Over the past decade, Eduardo has explored various bodies of water across the Indo-Pacific Oceans, continuously capturing vibrant moments filled with life, fueled by his passion and focus on the ocean and underwater photography.

Eduardo 是我過去7年來重要的潛水導師，好笑的是，我們至今尚未一起潛過水。當初因打排球相識，因為都有在潛水而變熟。我那時才拿到進階牌不到一年，還很菜。而他不只啟發我海裡相關的世界，更帶給我人生哲學和熱忱的領悟。
我才學到原來支撐熱忱的是不厭其煩的耐心和求知慾，是花時間看書看影片研讀和請教，原來喜歡一件事情是有那麼多行動可以去做、是可以那麼大膽的去做。
過去十幾年Edu潛遍了印度洋太平洋上大大小小的海域，他持續將對海洋和水下攝影的熱忱和專注去捕捉這些充滿生命力的瞬間，化為繽紛的色彩。

I’ve seen Vibrant Cenotes and Caribbean Sea in Mexico, Indian Ocean in Maldives, Indo-Pacific ocean in Bohol, Malapascua, Anilao (Philippines), Sipadan & KK in Malaysia, Thailand, Red Sea in Egypt, and now Okinawa with my family.
Many divers inspire me throughout the way, and also inspire my family, partner, and friends to become part of this exciting journey. I’m extremely grateful and lucky to have such privilege, which is never taken for granted.

說不盡的熱愛帶給我好多——汪洋中的生機盎然，靠近地心的體驗，以及探索這個世界的無限可能。
我曾見過墨西哥的燦爛洞穴與加勒比海，馬爾地夫的印度洋，薄荷島、媽媽島、阿尼洛（菲律賓）的印太海域，馬來西亞的詩巴丹與亞庇，泰國，埃及的紅海，現在又和家人一起來到了沖繩。
一路上遇到許多潛水員啟發我，也啟發了我的家人、伴侶和朋友成為這段精彩旅程的一部分。我非常感激也覺得很幸運，擁有這個從來不視為理所當然的特權。

First part of the process (including foam board cutting, rock and branches for foundation base, and spray and acrylics colouring was done previously with a workshop (suspended house! More details check below my post in 2024) I co-hosted with @852_atelier. As my usual, forgot to take any film of those… but I’m glad at the second half of the process I did remember to make some footage! Finally finished this procrastination and super happy of the final outcome!

[Mexico - Journey to the center of the earth]
After reading endless of dive magazine and blogs about Mexico, this long-expecting trip had concluded my new year’s eve magical and unforgettable.
On 1st Jan 2024 - we woke up at 6:30am to see the first sunshine and spent the day in the jungle driving the air tanks and gears and diving into the maya riviera Cenotes (the collapse) that eventually brought us to underground cave system that lasts for miles and miles long.
Into the abyss of mind and peace, we were passing through and devastated by the veins of the Mother Earth, discovering Mayan pots, fossils, massive formation of stalactite, stalagmite over thousands years, and the cloud (anoxic zone) deep in 40 meters. That was something beyond my imagination, beyond words, and farthest and most bizarre thing ever from my daily life. What a place to spend my first day of 2024!
The world is too big that we cannot stop traveling, even we spend a lifetime is not enough.
[墨西哥 - 地心歷險]
在閱讀了無數關於墨西哥的潛水雜誌和部落格後，這次期待已久的旅行終於結束了我神奇而難忘的跨年。
1 月1 日，我們早上6:30 醒來，看到第一縷陽光，在叢林中度過了一天，開車載著氣瓶和裝備，潛入的瑪雅Cenotes天井（洞上的崩塌），最終將我們帶到了長達數百公里的地下洞穴系統。
進入心靈與平靜的深淵，我們穿越並被孕育萬物的地球心臟所震撼，發現了瑪雅陶罐、化石、幾千年前大量形成的鐘乳石、石筍和40米深的雲層（無氧層）。那是我無法想像、無法言語、奇異、也是離我日常生活中最遙遠的事。這是我度過 2024 年第一天的好地方！
世界大到我們不能不去旅行，即使用上一輩子都不夠。

Big thanks to Li De Rotary Club to feature my design as their 1 year anniversary event product. In front of more then 300+ guests, DeLaMer could tell the stories of ocean and raise awareness of marine conservation. Wish you keep lightening up other lives through all your charity events hosted ✨
The initial idea of designing this bottle was really to protect the ocean from plastic bottles. And this turned out to be one of the impactful items during the pop up store in Malapascua.

Another attempt to paint the traditional Filipino fishing boat - Bangka, now used also as dive boat 🛶 . The techniques, structure design of the outriggers; and choice of hardwood materials that makes the boat for stability on the water are all very fascinating and inspiring.
It’s a process of watercolor, white pencil and acrylics for the waves, my first try out of masking liquid on the details of the objects, imaginations and memories from the diving experiences in the Philippines 🇵🇭
I always forgot to film the painting process until almost finished… promise for next one!

再次嘗試畫這個傳統的菲律賓螃蟹漁船 - Bangka，現在也用作潛水船🛶。使船在水面上保持穩定的工藝、結構設計、硬木材料的選擇都非常讓人著迷。
這是一個用水彩、白色鉛筆和壓克力顏料譜出想像和記憶的過程，也是我第一次嘗試用水彩遮蔽液來處理物體細節🇵🇭

This is my last birthday gift/invitation to collaborate from @erwan__jouan for coloring his drawing from blank. Depicting a diver in heavy, old-fashioned gear encountering a mermaid during an underwater exploration. The creative progress gave me so much room to explore and imagine the story, depths, the corresponding environments, and the lighting. I think this mermaid, like the mysteries of the deep sea, deeply attracts divers who want to explore more. I had so much fun painting this art using watercolor!
It reminds me of those pioneers from back in the day who began to unlock humanity’s potential in the ocean, inventing various equipment and conducting structural research. They inspired countless people passionate about marine life and the underwater world, laying the groundwork for today’s recreational diving culture. Just the other day, I watched the Netflix documentary *Becoming Cousteau*. Jacques Cousteau was a key pioneer in the invention of modern scuba diving. His journey and humanity’s drive to pursue the unknown and break boundaries are truly fascinating. Every step from zero to where we are today has been filled with thought and experimentation.
Yet, this journey is far from over. The world is so vast that we can’t help but continue to be amazed. Whether from a personal or historical perspective, it’s worth our constant exploration and interaction.

這是我去年生日的時候收到來自@erwan的禮物/邀請Collab，一張他以黑筆幻想描繪出潛水員戴著厚重的舊式裝備進行水下探索時，邂逅人魚的場景，留白去給我上色。這給了我很大的空間去創造，去想像水深跟相對應的環境與光線等等，我想這人魚就像深海的神秘一樣深深吸引潛水員，想探索更多。我很享受用水彩畫這幅畫的過程！
這讓我想到那年代那些先驅開始拓展人類在海裡活動的潛力，發明各種裝備和做構造上的研究，啟發了對海洋生物、水底世界充滿熱忱的人們，成為今日休閒潛水重要的歷史環境。那天看了Netflix 上<Becoming Cousteau> 的紀錄片，Jacques Cousteau 是發明現代水肺潛水重要的先驅。那心路歷程跟人類對追求未知和突破的行動力，很令人著迷，從零走到今天這每一步，背後都經歷了很多心思和嘗試。
然而這旅程還沒走完，這世界大到我們不能不繼續被驚艷。不管從個人或歷史的層面來說，都值得我們不斷去感受和互動。

![Malapascua, Philippines 🇵🇭 [中文見底下]
We caught the boat and head to Kimud Shoal around 4:30am, before sun even rises. During one hour boat ride, we saw the sky slowly getting glowing at the crack of dawn. It was not easy to wake up that early especially after such a long way of traveling to Malapascua. But it turned out absolutely worth it. 🌅
It’s the time thresher sharks come up to shallow from deep to cleaning stations get fishes to clean themselves. The current was strong that we held the moorings to quickly get down. And one after another shark just came cruise around on the pinnacle as close as one meter away from us, with their round, adorable, and peach black big eyes checking on us. Rest of the dive was almost like a free flow of one hour movie till the end with total of around 20 to 30 sharks. It’s stunning.
The body shape of thresher shark is beautiful, dynamic, and streamlined. The long tail is known for snapping out the fishes during hunting. The light beam on them reflects the color of rainbow, shiny and mysterious. 🦈
The second dive we tried to dive deeper around the wall. There was no other divers but just us. Seeing thresher sharks silhouettes gradually appearing from the big blue, up to our level and swim parallel. I know by then it’d be one of the dives that I would remember for life time. ✨

菲律賓馬媽島🇵🇭
我們在凌晨 4:30 左右乘船前往Kimud Shoal，那時太陽還沒升起。在一個小時的船程中，我們看到天空在黎明時分慢慢地變得亮起來。這麼早起床真的很辛苦，尤其是在經過長途跋涉之後。但事實證明這是絕對值得的。 🌅
此時正是長尾鯊從深海游到淺水區的清潔站。由於水流湍急，我們抓住繫泊處才能快速下沉。而一條條鯊魚就在距離我們一公尺近，用大大的眼睛注視著我們。剩餘的潛水過程幾乎就像一小時的電影自由播放，總共遇到了大約 20 到 30 隻鯊魚。這真是令人震驚。
長尾鯊身形優美，動感且具流線型。長尾巴因在狩獵時能猛撲魚群而聞名。它們身上的光束折射出彩虹般的色彩，閃亮又神秘。 🦈
第二支氣瓶我們試著繞著珊瑚壁潛得更深。除了我們之外，沒有其他潛水員。看到長尾鯊的身影漸漸從蔚藍大海出現，游到與我們平行的高度。我那時就知道這將會成為我一生難忘的潛水之一。 ✨

What is your 2025 resolution?
In 2025, I will continue my passion for the sea and bring more elements into daily life. Sometimes it is really difficult to balance other aspects of life, especially when living in a big city like Hong Kong that leads a busy and compact life. After self-taught acrylic painting in the past five years, in 2024 I tried to explore and express my emotions and feelings about the sea through the “water” of watercolor. These moments are difficult to describe in words. They are more about visual, tactile and spiritual feelings. These creative processes always bring me back to the thrill of being in the sea. There is no limit to geography or time. It’s really satisfying! Dedicated to the people I met while diving along the way, and all of you who yearn for the freedom of the ocean🪸 Thank you for your support💛

![2024香港潛水展 HK DRT [English Below]
圓滿結束了這次共三天我的第一個香港DRT潛水展，花了好幾個月開發的一系列海洋/潛水的新產品跟畫作，各種海兔、躄魚、鯊魚等水彩原畫作和周邊帆布袋、保溫水壺、防水貼紙、筆記本。都有陸續上傳到官網，錯過的朋友可以點我Bio網站下單訂購！
好多光顧的客人都是潛水教練，跟其他各國來的參展商的潛水員。還有一些潛店owner說我下次去菲律賓潛水的時候，他們要幫我在潛店搞小畫展！好多人都認出水彩畫上的魚，是上次他們在哪裡潛水看到，有些客人直接拿出他們水下的攝影照片給我看，說我畫的就是這隻！
週日早上有個澳洲來的潛水教練兼水下攝影師來了我的攤位，我們聊了各自去過的潛點、看到哪些魚跟我的畫等等，後來過幾個小時他又回來，說他現在去搭飛機回澳洲前的最後一件事就是要來買我的原畫水彩，放在家的牆上（分別是躄魚跟隆頭鸚哥魚）。能有有緣人欣賞小妹的作品，真的由衷感恩也很開心那些畫能找到主人被好好收藏。

小妹非常感謝展會幫忙的朋友們，提供行李箱給我裝箱運送、幫我一起搬磚、場佈、帶午餐零食和珍珠奶茶、顧攤位、熱情叫賣、想促銷活動、搞流動攤販等等。有大家集思廣益的威力真的遠大過我一個小小的腦袋，執行力也100%（人形廣告板請看上圖），真的也因為帥哥們的顏值充了人氣！
These 3 days have successfully concluded my first HK DRT diving expo. I spent several months developing a new series of marine/diving products and paintings, of nudibranchs, frogfish, sharks, etc. and merch of tote bags, insulated water bottles, waterproof stickers, and notebooks. All are just updated to my website. For those who missed the expo can click on my Bio website to place an order!
Many of the customers who came were diving instructors, divers from exhibitors of countries around the world. Some dive shop owners even said that next time I go diving in the Philippines, they will help me organize a small art exhibition in the dive shop!
Many people recognized the fishes in my watercolor paintings and began to discuss the last time they dived seeing this fish. Some clients even showed me their underwater photos, saying that what I painted was exactly the same.
There was an Australian dive instructor plus underwater photographer visited my booth. We talked about the diving sites we had been to, the fish we saw, my paintings, etc. A few hours later, he came back and said that the last thing he wanted to do before taking the flight back to Australia was to buy my original watercolor paintings and put them on the wall of his home (frogfish and bumphead parrot respectively). I am grateful to have someone who appreciate my works, and happy that those paintings can find their owners.
