靈感源自於我在墨西哥尤卡坦半島圖盧姆潛水的經歷。裡維埃拉瑪雅擁有世界上最大的地下洞穴和河流系統，綿延129公里。我們驅車進入叢林，扛著氧氣瓶來到被稱為「天坑」（Cenote）的潛水入口——石灰岩基岩坍塌後露出地下水。數千年前的上一個冰河時期結束後，部分地殼坍塌，露出了通往這個地下世界的入口。我們看到了壯觀的光束射入天坑，還有層層疊疊的鹽躍層、石筍、鐘乳石、動物遺骸、瑪雅陶罐、樹枝交錯的島嶼、幽暗的洞室，以及神秘的寂靜。時間彷彿靜止了。這真是神奇，超乎想像，令人嘆為觀止，讓我們感受到在地球母親面前的渺小。我們感覺自己如此接近地球的中心。
